Our self-healing pinboard offers an ideal solution to the problem of refurbishing existing noticeboards and provides an ideal surface to which notices can be pinned easily with minimal force and effort.
Similarly, when the time comes to remove notices, this can again be done easily with no tools required and no danger of breaking fingernails, thus ensuring an instantly better quality of life for parish clerks and parochial church council members everywhere!
Once pins are removed, the pinhole gradually “heals” (hence the self-healing), as a result of which, unlike with conventional pinboards, your noticeboard won’t end up looking like a well-used dart board.
To provide the ideal background to your notices, Self-healing pinboard is supplied in a neutral light grey colour.
Our self-healing pinboard is impervious to weather and is therefore equally suitable for use on glazed and unglazed noticeboards and is particularly good for use in salt-laden marine environments.
The material is 6mm thick (ideal for use with traditional drawing pins) and is supplied in roll form, 1250mm wide and in lengths up to 10 metres maximum.
It can be fixed to most common noticeboard panel substrates including timber, plywood and metal back panels using a proprietary contact adhesive (not supplied) such as Evo Stik. For further information, see the relevant product information sheet.
Maintenance required is minimal; an occassional scrub with warm water to remove any algae which might develop will ensure that your noticeboard remains in excellent condition for years to come.

Ordering
Self-healing rubber pinboard is supplied in roll form. Maximum available dimensions are 1250mm wide x 10 metres long and it is available cut to any size within these parameters. If your application requires a precise fit, we would always recommend that, when ordering you add a small margin to allow for accurate trimming.

If you need us to quote your order number in correspondence or on the invoice, please be sure to include this when ordering. All orders will be acknowledged on receipt by email or (where no email address is supplied) in writing and will include an estimated date for completion.
Lead time
Self-healing pinboard is usually kept in stock but cutting to size may take 2-3 days depending upon workload. If your order is urgent or has a specific deadline, please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.

Delivery
Please be aware that Self-healing Rubber Pinboard is a relatively heavy material and weighs 8.03kg/m2.
Our preferred method of delivery will vary depending upon a number of factors including the weights of individual items in the consignment and the delivery address. The delivery method will be stated in our Order Confirmation. The usual methods of delivery for orders where no single item exceeds 35kg and for those containing items exceeding 35kg are detailed below but please be aware that different arrangements may apply to remote areas and offshore islands. Exceptionally, if the size of an individual order or the mileage involved warrant it, we may opt to use a dedicated courier.
Orders where no single item exceeds 35kg are usually despatched via a UK nationwide courier on an overnight service, i.e. the consignment leaves us one day and you receive it on the next working day (Monday to Friday). As soon as your order is completed, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day when someone will be available to receive it. All deliveries require a signature. Please note that this is NOT a timed delivery service and delivery could occur any time between 08:00 and 17:00 on the chosen day.
We appreciate that there is nothing more frustrating than having to set aside a whole day to receive a parcel, so if this is an issue, there are a number of possible work-arounds.
Firstly, it is generally possible to request a before 12:00 or before 10:30 delivery slot but this will attract an additional charge. If a timed delivery is essential please call us on 01280 701093 to place your order.
Secondly, it is sometimes possible for us to get the driver to contact you, say 30 minutes ahead of delivery, with an estimated arrival time. This is sometimes useful for deliveries to churches, village halls etc. when you are close-by but not at the delivery location. It must be stressed however that there is no contractual obligation for the courier to do this and whether or not it happens will depend upon the goodwill of the driver concerned.
Thirdly, exceptionally and not recommended, it may be possible for you to nominate a “safe place” where the parcel can be left without being signed for but please be aware that in choosing this option, you assume full responsibility for the condition of the item as delivered as no claims for damage can be entertained for items received without a signature.
Orders where one or more items exceed 35kg are usually delivered by a specialist 2-man delivery team. As soon as your order is completed, we will contact you to let you know that it is being collected by our chosen specialist courier and shortly thereafter they will contact you directly to make final arrangements for the delivery.

Our self-healing rubber pinboard is available in Light Grey only.
How do I fix Self-healing Pinboard to an existing noticeboard?
In most instances Self-healing Rubber Pinboard can be fixed directly to the existing back panel using a propriety contact adhesive such as Evo Stik. Where the existing surface is unsuitable (i.e.friable or uneven), we recommend fixing the pinboard to exterior grade plywood first before attaching to the noticeboard. Is Self-healing Rubber Pinboard weatherproof?
Yes it is. It is for this reason that we use it exclusively on all the unglazed noticeboards that we manufacture ourselves. Being manufactured, as the name suggests, from rubber granules, our Self-healing Rubber Pinboard is not only totally impervious to weather, it is also ideal for use in coastal environments subject to salt-laden breezes.
What is the lifespan of Self-healing Rubber Pinboard?
Almost indefinite. We’ve yet to see a piece wear out!
Can I use any type of pins?
Self-healing Rubber Pinboard will take most types of drawing pin or mapping pin but is best used with conventional large-headed drawing pins as these are less likely to pull through the paper in windy conditions.
The material is 6mm thick so if the type of pin used is longer than this, it is possible that it will “bottom out” on the back panel of the board. Where this is timber or plywood, this is unlikely to be a problem as the point of the pin will, no doubt, pierce the back panel to some extent, but where the pinboard has been fixed directly to a metal surface, the head of the pin may stop short of the pinboard surface and thus not clamp the notice to the surface of the board fully. Where this might present a problem, we recommend fixing the pinboard to a ply panel before securing it to the board.

Self-healing Rubber Pinboard comes with a 5-year guarantee on the quality of the materials used. We guarantee to the original purchaser that our Self-healing Rubber Pinboard is free from defects. “Defect” is defined as any imperfection which impairs the normal use of the material. This guarantee is expressly limited to costs of repair or replacement within 5 years of the date of despatch and excludes the following:
1] Defects caused by the improper use or installation.
2] Defects occurring after purchase as a result of use in unsuitable environments, unauthorised product modification, intentional damage, misuse, abuse or negligence.
3] Cosmetic damage.
4] Labour costs incurred in returning the board to us.
